This is my fourth year here at BHS. I will be teaching World History and Pre-AP World History, as well as AP European History. I am so excited to share from my travels in Europe with all of you! I also sponsor the BHS Student Council.
Previously, I taught self-contained Special Education classes at Cedarville High School in Cedarville, AR. That was my first teaching job and I taught there for three years. Before that, I was a substitute teacher in the Ozark School District for a year and a half and completed my internship teaching World History and American History at Clarksville High School.
I am not married and I do not have any children. I do, however, have the cutest niece, Ella! I have one brother and sister-in-law (her parents). My mother is also a teacher, but she teaches Algebra and Geometry. My father is the pastor at Ozark First Assembly of God in Ozark, AR. I don’t have any pets, but I sometimes claim my parents’ dog, Bitsy. :)
I have several hobbies. I LOVE baking! I am always looking for a new recipe on Pinterest to try! I also love to read. My favorite books are mystery novels or historical fiction (surprising for a history teacher, right?). I also like to paint and do craft projects, but I rarely have the time to do anything major! And I am strictly an amateur in the art department, so no profound masterpieces from me! I like to attend as many school events as I can, so let me know if you have a game, concert, or event coming up!
