NHS Induction Ceremony will be Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 6pm in the PAC. Induction letters were sent home on the Friday before Spring Break. Signed forms must be returned to the Counselors office ASAP. Current NHS members are required to attend the NHS Induction of new members.

BHS Students and Parents - Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held tomorrow, March 14th from 10am-6pm. Teachers will be at lunch from 2pm-3pm. Please plan to stop by and pick up your student's report card and visit with any teachers you wish during this time. We look forward to seeing you.

Tonight at the school board of education meeting, Mr. Powell recognized school board president, Chad Hipps for 10 years of service on the Berryville School board. It was also very fitting that a group of second graders presented their research tonight to the board members on which monkey bars should be placed on the elementary playground. You see, in January for board appreciation month, school board members were presented with many letters of appreciation from students. Chad promised that every single letter would be read. To follow up on that promise, Chad made mention at the next (February) board meeting that students were requesting monkey bars for their playground. The students returned this month with their research. Chad made one final request to the Board of Education of the Berryville School District, and that was to purchase and install monkey bars on the elementary playground. Thank you, Chad, for ten years of service to the Berryville School District!

School will not be in session for students on March 14 & 15. March 14 is Parent Teacher Conferences. Each school will communicate specific information for their building. March 15 is a Professional Development Day for our staff.

BHS 9th & 10th grade students will take the Atlas Writing test tomorrow. Please make sure your student arrives on time and have their chromebook and charger. ATLAS testing replaces the ACT Aspire.

Yesterday was Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day... We made the post, but it didn't get posted. SO, better late than never to celebrate our Maintenance Workers. They work tirelessly to keep our campuses looking great and functioning well! We appreciate you at #BobcatNation!

Busy weekday mornings make it a challenge for many families to find time for a healthy breakfast. Fortunately, Berryville Schools offer nutritious school breakfasts, complete with fruit and low-fat or fat-free milk, to ensure students are fueled for learning every school day. The NSBW campaign theme, “Surfs Up with School Breakfast,” reminds the entire school community that school breakfast provides a healthy and energizing start to the day for students. Studies show that students who eat school breakfast are more likely to: • Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math • Score higher on standardized tests • Have better concentration and memory • Be more alert • Maintain a healthy weight School nutrition professionals and students will be encouraged to show their enthusiasm for school breakfast from March 4-8 as the district celebrates NSBW with special menus, activities, and more. A healthy breakfast at the start of the day is a great way to ensure students are nourished and ready to learn. The Sophomore Class is hosting the Spring Revue on Saturday, March 9th at 2:30pm in Bobcat Arena. Admission is $5 per person

The Sr.High Quiz Bowl team came in 2nd at regionals in Gravette. Students pictures from left to right are Reece Williams, Ford Byerley, Carly Smith, AC Calvillo, and Jada Smith. Carly Smith was an all tournament player. We will be heading to state on April 13th.

🟣🟡Reminder!!!🟡🟣 Our new schedule begins tomorrow morning! The High School and Middle School doors will open at 7:25 am. Classes will begin at 7:45 with the first bell ringing at 7:41. Late start Monday will begin at 8:20 with the first bell ringing at 8:16. Students will be dismissed each day at 3:24. Elementary and Intermediate School doors will open at 7:30 am. Classes will begin at 8:00 and students will be dismissed at 3:33.

BHS Teachers worked after school yesterday in the Atlas testing portal to be better prepared for the Atlas tests. Atlas is the new end of year summative asessment for our students. Testing dates are as follows: -Writing test for grades 9 & 10 on Wednesday, March 6th. -Algebra 1 and Geomeatry test on April 16th. -Biology test on April 23rd -Reading & Egnlish for grades 9 & 10 on April 30th All tests will begin at 9am Parents can go in to the Atlas portal and take practice tests with your students to give them a better idea of how the tests will be formatted.

The new bell schedule starts Monday, March 4 and will be followed through the end of the school year. The doors to the High School will open at 7:25am.
