Berryville High School is proud to announce the appointment of its new RootEd Advisor, Alleshia Byrd, who will support students as they prepare for life after graduation and explore meaningful career pathways.
The new advisor brings six years of experience from Berryville Middle School, where she served as a counselor and built strong, lasting relationships with students and families. In her new role at the high school, she looks forward to continuing those connections while also meeting and guiding a new group of students as they plan their futures.
“I’m excited to step into the role of RootEd Advisor at Berryville High School,” she said. “My time at Berryville Middle School has been an amazing opportunity, and I’m looking forward to continuing to build relationships with former students as well as new faces. I’m passionate about helping students find their path and feel confident in their future.”
The RootEd Advisor position focuses on individualized student support, helping students identify career interests, set goals, and develop plans for postsecondary success—whether that includes college, technical training, or entering the workforce.
Outside of her professional role, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, reading, baking, and listening to Broadway shows.
“I’m so grateful to be part of this community and I cannot wait to get started,” she added.
